But you're acting as though they just released this and left it alone while they still giving full single treatment to another song from Reflection. IILWAM was given a radio release, and Epic's promotional emails literally called it the follow-up to Worth It. The public is going to start assuming 5H is just going to be some one-hit-wonder, which may hurt them when it's time to release material from 5H2.

Honestly. People are overreacting. When they cater a REAL Fifth Harmony single to radio and it bombs to hell and back, THEN we can complain. It's not that big of a deal how this does. The lead from their 2nd album is what will determine anything

This is a real single, though. Not on thesame importance level of one coming from a studio album but they're giving it the full promotion as a single. Let's not backtrack on it just cause it's bombing.

People really don't seem to understand the fact that we're not complaining just because IILWAM flopped - we're complaining because it flopped when it was the only song released after 5H finally got their first hit. It is SO important to establish relevance and longevity after an artist gets their first hit, so Epic has really hurt them with this decision. When it comes to radio support, they'll pretty much have to start from scratch with the lead single from 5H2 since they did nothing to establish themselves as pop radio regulars.

Monster won't affect the first single from 5H2 because by that time this song will be buried and forgotten and people will still remember Worth It and the smash it was.

If this isn't a "real 5H single" (although I'd still like to know what makes it not real considering it got a music video, radio release and promotional spots), then can't we still be mad at the fact that they didn't release a follow-up single after getting their first big hit even though there were multiple options left on the album? Let's not pretend like this was an acceptable strategy - regardless of how you want to classify IILWAM, a breakout hit needs to be followed by at least a song with the potential to be a hit.
