Hey guys, just a thing (not intended to go after anyone personally)...
Please do not make jokes re: R. Kelly "Buffet" reportedly coming out the same day as Adele's third album and being him trying to "distract" her or w/e. I responded negatively to it being posted here a few pages back, and another DD has just shared the same sentiment in a much more strongly worded manner on another forum...so basically I just wanted to say something more in-depth here.
As Daydreamers we kind of set the bar for what's okay to say about our fav, so when some of us start saying things like that, we are basically condoning it for everyone else in the world to say as well--across the rest of ATRL, UKMix, the media, etc. and to those places it quickly and viciously spreads.
I understand that a lot of jokes get made or shared in this base, and that can definitely make it more fun, but sharing jabs at her appearance just isn't humor at all. Furthermore, said jabs are something that's happened to her time and time over, largely since nobody can come up with anything else to pick at...and she doesn't deserve that whatsoever. Because, I don't know if you've noticed, but girlfriend's gorgeous. And even if she wasn't, she still makes incredible music that she's chosen and hopefully is about to chose again to share with us, despite all the craziness it most certainly can bring to many aspects of her life, and moreover, she's still a human being that deserves to be treated like one.
So yeah. I think I'll stop there, lest I get too preachy, but...just think about the implications of what you say about her before you do it. Be respectful. Spread love. Do the fanbase justice. Boyyahh.
