No. I imagine at least some of those songs you've cited in the OP as evidence of his "losing it" were also written in 2014.
Besides, if you look at his entire production discography you'll find that it's actually pretty rife with flop songs from nearly every year. And I find it highly doubtful someone like him, who's been massively successful for two decades now, could "lose it" entirely in the span of, what, a few months? I doubt the gap between when Love Me Like You Do and Lighthouse were written could've been much more than that.
I do think a lot of his work in the past year or so has been quite
subpar for standards in the quality department, but most of
those tracks have been among his most successful, so...
