Jordin's debut took over one year to go platinum

It doesn't matter how long it took. It sold consistently and had longevity.

This is 2009. Album sales do not matter. Albums will be irrelevant a few years from now. New artists can't even open with more than 15k.

The music industry or record labels aren't going to stop signing new artists just because they can't sell albums. If the sell singles, they'll be fine.
