Should I do More Than R&B or When Pop Stars Grow Up? I feel like I need to host one rate before the year is up.

I say More Than R&B since we've had so many pop rates this year.

I thought about that too but I feel like the 80s timeframe would be too expansive to cover unless we just focused on the huge hits and number ones.
These are all the modern pop songs I could think of at the moment:
NOSTALGIA WAVE (Millennial Scrunchie would be a cute title too)
24 Hours – Sky Ferreira
All That – Carly Rae Jepsen
Amanaemonesia – Chairlift
Bang Bang Bang – Selena Gomez & The Scene
Beat Of My Heart – Hilary Duff
Black Magic – Little Mix
Boy Problems – Carly Rae Jepsen
Bulletproof – La Roux
Cool – Gwen Stefani
Crystallize – Kylie Minogue
Dance In The Dark – Lady Gaga
Do What U Want – Lady Gaga, R. Kelly
Doing It – Charli XCX
Emotion – Carly Rae Jepsen
Everybody – Britney Spears
Everything Is Embarrassing – Sky Ferreira
Fashion Of His Love – Lady Gaga
Heaven On Earth – Britney Spears
Hold On, We're Going Home – Drake, Majid Jordan
Hot N Cold – Katy Perry
I Belong in Your Arms – Chairlift
If I Could Change Your Mind – HAIM
If Only – Kylie Minogue
In For The Kill – La Roux
Jealous – Nick Jonas
Kiss And Not Tell – La Roux
Let Me Down Gently – La Roux
Let’s Get Lost – Carly Rae Jepsen
Losing You – Solange
Love is Pain – Girls Aloud
Love In Stereo – Sky Ferreira
Love Me Harder – Ariana Grande, The Weeknd
Love Without Tragedy / Mother Mary – Rihanna
Love You Like A Love Song – Selena Gomez & The Scene
Never Stop – Hilary Duff
Nobody's Business – Rihanna, Chris Brown
Nuclear Seasons – Charli XCX
Oblivion – Grimes
Potential BreakUp Song – Aly & AJ
Run Away With Me – Carly Rae Jepsen
Saturday Night – Natalia Kills
Shut Up And Drive – Rihanna
Sledgehammer – Fifth Harmony
Teenage Dream – Katy Perry
This Kiss – Carly Rae Jepsen
Wake Up – Hilary Duff
Wrong Opinion – Chairlift
Your Type – Carly Rae Jepsen
Not on Spotify: 1989 tracks, 99 Tears and Sex Rules by Sky Ferreira
I haven't added any tracks from artists like Brandon Flowers or Bleachers, nor have I looked at the straight up synthpop acts like CHURCHES or Years & Years. And a good chunk of these songs are produced by either Dev Hynes or Ariel Rechtshaid, and a lot of them were in that Cool Kids rate as well.

Can we do like Fifth Harmony vs Little Mix vs Danity Kane: Reflection/Get Weird (once it released/DK3 and called it The Girl Group Battle Rate or something. We can throw G.R.L's EP too because they have like one hit from that album.

I'mma save that one for another time
Plus, this one will be easier to do since it's less songs, and it's a bit more diverse because it includes more than just the main pop girls.

I have an idea for a new rate. I would like to do a rate for female singer-songwriters from the 60s and 70s that some ATRLers like. The artists would be: Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Patti Smith, Laura Nyro, Carly Simon, Dolly Parton, and Kate Bush. Participants would have to listen to the most acclaimed album from each of these ladies.
Joni Mitchell - Blue
Carole King - Tapestry
Patti Smith - Horses
Laura Nyro - Eli and the Thirteenth Confession
Carly Simon - No Secrets
Dolly Parton - Coat of Many Colors
Kate Bush - Hounds of Love (I know Hounds of Love was released in 1985, but Kate released music in the 70s as well.)
Opinions?

Sounds really great! I only know about half these albums so it'd be great to explore these talented women some more.
How many songs is this in total though? It might be a good idea to break it up so that it's more manageable.
