Well... I mean, it all depends on the person. People search for love in many different ways and some are not that self aware so they tend to attract something completely opposite of what they're looking for. But like I said, it all depends on the person. Maybe sex is important to them and they feel the need to point out what sexual position they take the role of. I'd also like to point out that some people think "sexual love" is real love. There's plenty of types of love tbh.

I, for one, met my bf through Hornet (LMFAO) and we're in love and been together for quite some time... Granted, we talked to eachother with respect, very normally, and didn't talk about anything sexual at all. I honestly think it doesn't matter if they say "bottom" or "top" considering it'll all work itself out if the chemistry, curiosity, and the drive is there.

This might sound so far fetched, but I'm pretty sure there's a psychological thing within Gays, who've maybe not had great acceptance their whole life, and have constantly tip-toed around relationships and had a lot of cover-ups etc. during their early life as a gay and it makes them kind of loveless. Not completely, but in the sense that growing up, you're still outcasted and male to male or female to female sex is still seen as weird, so depending on how long you've avoided it, and depending on how shallow you are, when some gay people finally break into the dating scene, relationships can be too sex-driven and aesthetically powered, they're never gonna work out.

Well that's just how it is. While in heterosexual relationships you dont have to choose a role because a woman doesn't have a penis, in homosexual relationships you do have to choose because both have a penis. That's just how it is, because when you start to know someone sex will obviously play a big part in the process of the dating and if sex doesnt work at the start, rare are those who manage to survive with only the emotions for one another.

But THERE are couples that do love eachother to a point of submitting to a role that they dont like.

not everyone can access to have sex toys and the physical pleasure (even though it has been two years for me) from a phallic organ is far more worth than a rubber/plastic thing. Besides, when did you see two gays of the same role dating or hooking up ? Never.

That's my problem too. I'm afraid from catching stds or being dumped, so I don't do hookups and I wonder if I would find the one through a hookup but I doubt it.

Most gays aren't even looking for love. It seems friends with benefits is more desired at this point since people focus on the physical and sexual aspects over the mental and emotional. It's rare that something serious can even come from it.

I never state it until someone asks. But I guess people state it right away because it's kinda hard to keep the relationship going if you can't vonsume it sexually

if two people are of the same sex role, there's no way in hell they are able to perfom sexual and we don't have selfless one to give in and their role and be something else.
