are you serious? Who on earth goes into nursing "for the money"? They don't get paid much at all. My mom has been a nurse for over 30 years and is capped out at around $55/hour.

You can make a lot of money out of it though. Especially if you go down the agency or management route.
Seethe at English lit I'll have you know many top lawyers are English/history grads because those degrees at a competitive university equip you with transferable skills applicable to becoming a lawyer, and that's just one example.
I don't have a problem with a nursing degree but if I was to get into the healthcare profession I'd want to be a doctor, don't you feel inferior by being a nurse instead? But I understand many get into it to help people which is understandable.
Pardon my ignorance
Literally the first thing that comes to mind though is just a class of people studying books and ****
I'm a doctor and I have the utmost respect for nurses and I could never do what they do, ever. In all honesty, most people who work on the medical field hate their jobs.
I'm not attacking nursing majors. I think that nursing is an awesome career. But I feel like a lot of people go into for the wrong reasons. You have to have a passion for people, not just money to be a nurse. Hence, why there's so many mean nurses that I've witnessed. I've seen a nice amount of nurses who love their jobs and are amazing as well.
What are you talking about? Nurses are severely underpaid. No one's going into nursing for the money.
I went to college with people majoring in women and gender studies... Talk about a useless degree to graduate with.
