I bought my Mac in the US and smuggled it into Jamaica (the island) to escape a 150% tax on importing electronics like Macs (Jamaica is very corrupt, sending it by USPS can end up in you paying customs fees and not getting the item at all :/ yet we have an 18% GCT (something like VAT) and you buying a Mac is you telling them you're rich af and the customs agents are allowed to charge whatever they want without discretion)
Otherwise, I never made a better decision in my life (apart from buying an iPhone to complement my iPad). These Windows girls are trying to stop you from going to #1 sis.... Buy a cheap ticket to the UK and hit up that Apple Store gerl otherwise eBay is your best friend
P.S. I feel your pain........ My MacBook Pro costs $320k JMD or $2712 USD here and I got it for $1399 (it was 1499 USD w/o the student discount from Apple)
