Why are people mad about Gaga being BB WOTY?
I honestly don't get it. It's an honor she should have gotten in either 2010 or 2011. Seeing as the WOTY award is not exclusive to charts and numbers, it shouldn't come as a surprise as to who is awarded - it's based on a holistic scale of things (music, media, etc.).
Because she honestly wasn't the woman of the year in any sphere, and because Billboard spent the whole ****ing year making HOURLY articles about Taylor Swift. Hypocrisy level 9000.
I think her gradual ascent back to having the respect of the public is deserving of it in itself tbh. She honestly, no hyperbole, stole the Oscars. She was all anyone talked about and it only got better for her from there.
People would rather see someone continue to be trashed because it makes them feel better about themselves.
Because certain people here have nothing better to do than hate on her all day long, sad really! She has the most obsessed and demented haters of any pop girl. But she will continue to prosper.
That's what happens when you start believing your own bulls****.
It was always clear as a day that Lady Gaga is a huge superstar and one problematic era was nothing more than a bump in the road. They desperately wanted to write her off, but she came back like a phoenix soaring high and shining bright like the star she is.
