Britney Spears is coming for us and there is not a blessed thing we can do to stop her. The pop star has been added to a list that, at first glance, may seem shocking or surprising. But in hindsight, perhaps we should have seen it coming. Britney Spears is on the Most Dangerous Cyber Celebrities of 2015 list, put together and released by Intel Security.
Here's the scoop: Every year, Intel Security puts together a list of the celebrities who generate the most dangerous search results when their fans or followers search for their names on the Internet. "Dangerous," in this context, means searches that make the Internet users more vulnerable to viruses and malware. So, what makes all these dangerous results pop up? A statement from McAfee, which is owned by Intel, explains, "Cybercriminals are always looking for ways to take advantage of consumer interest around popular culture events including award shows, TV show and movies premieres, album releases, celebrity breakups, and more."
