I'm glad you wrote it because I confused myself halfway. It actually does make sense though.

I think it has something to do with her tone. I try singing her songs and cannot sing them and I always traced it down to the fact that her tone is really unique.
Also her singing style is not the "normal" singing style. She is sort of "all over the place" when she sings and does not follow any vocal rules/techniques most of the time but that makes it unique.
so when artists try singing her tracks they find it difficult because they literally need to sort of re construct the song to fit their vocals.

There is something extremely special about her voice and emotions/innocence/anger in the way she sings... Producers like Mirwais and William Orbit, who worked on many of her albums, praise her uniqueness...
It's hard to explain but no matter how many octaves those popstars can reach, they'll never have Madonna's iconic voice and sound....

She's above every human being and that probably explains a lot....

It's not that they're hardest to sing but the artists who try to cover them are generally way better singers than she is so they tend to over-sing them because that's what they're used to. It's that simple. Just like the songs in the OP,
