So my high school has a block schedule format. Basically our days are divided into 'A day' and 'B day' and each day we take different classes in 90 minute periods. only our 3rd period is a normal everyday 45- minute period. I dislike it tbh.

So im wondering if anyone else here is in or has gone through block schedule schools.

Yup, we have a block schedule.

4 periods (80 minutes), and 2 semesters. You can have full year classes (like APs) or semester-long classes.

The only classes that alternate based on day are PE and Health though. As a freshman, I had to take PE and Health on alternating days for one semesters.

Yes, I did block schedules in junior and senior high school. 5th period was the only class I went to everyday.

When I was in HS we didn't have that, we'd just have the same 40 minute periods every day

Yes, I went to a high school that operated on block scheduling. It's great, because you only have four classes every day, so the days seem to go by pretty quickly. Also, if you're assigned homework for a class, it isn't due until two days later, which gives you flexibility when it comes to your personal scheduling and schoolwork... It rocks tbh.

We didn't have that. I would just die with those long ass classes

But i agree on the 2nd part the only thing i like about it is more time to do homework and we have more time in class to do a test.

But for the most part it sucks im not that used to it still plus sometimes i get confused and go to the wrong day classes

I have a block schedule right now. It's usually two lessons a day but they're both 3 hours

Hmmm, I guess it's different for everyone. Another bonus to block scheduling is that if you really dislike one of your teachers, you don't need to see him/her every single day. So there's definitely some more variety on a day-to-day basis.

I had it in junior high, but in high school I did not. Didn't really matter which one I preferred.

College is like a combo of block and everyday depending on your schedule, which I like.
