Part of it is racism Asians face huge barriers in the music industry (especially full Asians), but it's mostly because English music is by far the most popular on a worldwide scale.

Besides a few exceptions (Gangnam Style) it's very rare to see a non-English song smash in the U.S. (even Latin music doesn't have that many crossover hits to pop audiences). In most other countries English language songs smash all the time.

No. They are people who have the capacity to know that black people come out looking all different kinds of ways.

I don't think any regular consumer is aware he is supposedly pushed towards a certain demo because he is played on all stations and is featured on songs with rappers. He is accessible because of ambiguous looks.

If he happened to say the word I can guarantee most wouldn't bat an eye. I know I wouldn't. I already assume he has black in him.

And as I already said he does look black/mixed with black. Many agree and are surprised when they find out he isn't.

As said before I can understand looking ambiguous, but saying he looks black is a different story. If you were to put him around other blacks with different complexions he'll stand out. If you were to put him with other racial or ethnic groups like Polynesian or south Asian he would fit in much more.
