Marina, soooo many times. She's a really good lyricist sometimes but I hear her voice and, I don't mean this in a rude way, but it's just very off-putting and makes it hard to enjoy. The only songs I even remotely like are Bubblegum Bitch and Savages. I wish I could like her, I've tried multiple times. But I can't
Adele, Mariah, Sam Smith and Christina all bored the **** out of me when I tried to get into them. All talented vocalists with underwhelming discographies
FKA twigs. I get why people like her + why she has acclaim but I thought her album was really overrated and lame. Lana as well, but I don't think she's very good outside of a few songs.
There's lots of people I still need to listen to (like Bjork) but that I just haven't checked out yet.
Madonna, Britney, Katy Perry, Xtina, P!nk, Florence, Lana Del Rey, Kesha, Tinashe, Grimes, Ariana Grande, Iggy, The Weeknd, 1D, off the top of my head.
Fiona Apple (I like many female singer-songwriters that came before and after her, but she's the most challenging to me) Ringo Sheena (the only major female Japanese act I'm not into, but I'm not giving up on her since she has pretty interesting concepts)
Chvrches (I'm not feeling them in spite of liking similar acts, the second album might grow on me though)
Omg.
She was not my cup of tea when I first discovered her, BELIEVE ME. Eventually she really grew on me, though. I'd recommend her first album (Marunouchi Sadistic is one of her very best songs, imo) and the songs are a bit more accessible overall.
I don't care for none of the pop girls except Rih & Katy(sometimes)
Same. I can't stand any of them expect for Bey and I can occasionally tolerate Rih and Nicki. No Katy Perry though except for California Girls, Teenage Dream, and Roar couple of years ago.
