Like all people with my music tastes also like Marina and The Diamons/B], but I can't get into her music. It sounds so bubblegum pop and too happy to me, and her voice is a bit too low.
Would you recommend any of her songs that are darker and have a more gritty production?

Also, Bjork. I like her newer production (not old), but to me there are not many melodies, and it seems too abstract (I like FKA twigs tho)

The Family Jewels and Froot are not bubblegum, only maybe half of Electra Heart could give that impression.
Bjork's 90s work and Vespertine > Anything since. "not many melodies" fff just because it's not repetition.

Tinashe. I'm really trying to but her vocals are so basic. I never got into Sam Smith either. His vocals are cute but his music is so bland and conventionnal. ITLH is a boring overrated mess from start to finish

omg Marina is amazing. You just need to keep trying.
If you want a darker sounds, definitely hit up The Family Jewels, maybe songs like Numb, Rootless, etc. The whole album is amazing, very different sound than Electra Heart and Froot.

As for me, probs Gaga is the one I've tried most to like. She had some good ass material in The Fame and even The Fame Monster, but it's hard for me to listen to her when I only really like about one or two songs per album.
To a smaller degree, maybe Cher Lloyd.
