Little Endorsement for Bernie, Why?
Quote:
On the Democratic side, the story is pretty straightforward: Hillary Clinton is dominating. In fact, according to FiveThirtyEight, she’s in a stronger endorsement position than any modern Democratic candidate. There are 44 Democratic senators and 188 Democratic representatives in Congress. Of those, 30 senators and 100 representatives have backed Clinton. Meanwhile, seven of the 18 Democratic governors have also endorsed her. In other words, of these 250 top elected Democrats, Clinton has earned the support of 137, or 55 percent, not to mention loads of lower-level statewide officials, state legislators and local pols, particularly in the early states.
As for Clinton’s opponents, Sanders has exactly zero endorsements from sitting Democratic senators (his own colleagues), representatives or governors.

Bernie has a fair amount of celebrities too, but most of the big guns are behind Hillary.
Why is this the case?

She's the likely winner and has more of a name.
Bernie > Hilary though both of them would make good Presidents.

Isn't he the guy who said that Muslims shouldn't be president? If he is, that could be one reason why.

Because Mrs. Clinton is more likely to reimburse you for backing her and has powerful ties to the sponsors of those senators.

People side with bigger candidates because they believe backing smaller ones is a wasted vote

She is the only one with a shot at winning the general.
No one wants to endorse a sure fire loser.

He's too left to win an election. I prefer his more left and liberal platform to Hillary's, but she has a shot at winning. He does not (that goes for the nomination + the election). Why would you spend money on someone who is, to a large degree, a token candidate?

People are too stupid to see how bad Hill would be as president.
And people don't like politicians that tell the truth. Bernie is the new Huey Long.

It's interesting to me how not even any senators have endorsed him.

He's not a democrat. It isn't that shocking, he's more left than anyone in the congressional sphere.

Yet with all those endorsements Hillary is still losing in Iowa and NW and Bernie is working SC, we will soon see if he is chipping away at her lead there. SC is her firewall if that falls there will be all out panic in the party.

Really? You're surprised when you know damn well the DNC would pull any support from senators that don't endorse their preferred candidate?

You also know this was a post more about Hillary and her support then it was about Bernie right? Of course DWS is going to make her party fall in line, look what she has done with the debates and the massive push back she is getting right now. She is totally in the tank for Hillary; her career depends on it.

He's always been "independent," not a democrat, even though he's always agreed more with democrats. I think it's because everything he stands for are things other politicians wouldn't back. He's here for the middle class and working families.
That being said, Bernie is a much better presidential candidate than Hillary and he DOES have a shot at winning. He keeps raising in polls faster than Obama did back in 2007 without millionaire companies backing him. He's also had the same views in regards to every social issue for the last 20 years. Meanwhile, Hillary constantly changes her mind to cater to whatever would get her votes. I really can't understand why any informed person would vote for Hillary.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to get at.

I mean, the powers that be have been ****ing over the "too left" since 1912. Jail time, assassinations, manipulation of the party...all for the same goal.
I wouldn't be surprised if certain people wanted Bernie dead tbh.

Mrs. Clinton is the preferred candidate. Don't act brand new that's how it works. Bernie's a good guy with a better liberal track record than Mrs. Clinton but he doesn't have a chance at winning.
