Dark Horse the biggest trend setting song this decade?
I heard another Dark Horse sounding song today in the mall and realized it is probably the most copied song of the decade so far. Do you agree? If not, which song is it in your opinion?
No, because trap was on the rise in the mainstream way before Dark Horse. Katy helped popularise it, but I doubt Dark Horse was the frame of reference for most of these songs. Black Widow and Get on Your Knees obviously took BIG inspiration from that song though.
Tik Tok and We Found Love tbh. Oh and whichever was the first pop song to incorporate guitar riffs that became the standard in literally every song on the radio from 2012-2014
