I agree with Drip. I really don't mind the vulgar comments since they're usually made in jest. However, if that affects advertiser interest, I understand why you want to cut down on it.

What bothers me much more are the trolling or sincerely hateful posts made in SYG or anywhere, really. I understand the need to pick your battles, but I'd sooner delete SYG and crack down on trolling and flamebait than go after vulgarity.

I get what you're saying, but you gotta remember this was like 2012-2013 time (?? can't remember) when the vulgarity was banned.

Anyone who lived through the dreaded OC days knows what i'm talking about. I'm pretty sure we were just desperate to get the advertisers back, so that we could finally get coins to make the server better.

However I think even if we found new advertisers and they didn't mind the vulgar stuff, it'd still stay banned. Honestly, the site is a lot better without it. Maybe that's just me having matured or what I don't know.

I'm not saying I like the vulgarity. I'm here for the idyllic forum where we all have civil debate about pop music and culture on digital Socratic stairs. I would just rather there be emphasis on getting rid of consistent trolling before vulgarity.

I meant more along the lines of mr. brightside, tshirt and co. Like, what's the point of keeping them around if all they do is troll for 48 hours between month-long vacations? No one enjoys their company here.

Trolling is just a natural part of forums though, it'd be pointless having a warning system in place if we just outright banned people who trolled. Plus, people can change, what if someone trolls just one or two times and we ban them forever? Even though they're not normally like that.

If people are continually racist or offensive etc then they get banned. But to outright ban people for trolling popstars is a little too extreme. Everyone shades from time to time.

But we have WP's for a reason and if people troll too much, then they get banned.

See I don't see why this attitude can't be taken for the Vulgar post we get on here either. More so, the lighter thirst post we get that are more comedy then pizzahub.com.

On a separate note, can we please add another warning category for posts like this or bump it up to Offensive instead of Insensitive? Suicide, rape and other topics are dead serious, and I don't think a one-point warning for one month is nearly enough.

Then lemme write a strongly worded letter to our advertisers for these Bible belt attitudes for supporting grossly worded comments to female popstars but shaming sexuality.
