Very few relationships last a long time after dating really briefly, getting engaged and then married extremely shortly after. Most of the time when you are a new relationship you start a honeymoon phase where everything is just pure bliss. This honeymoon phase eventually fades off and that's really when the true test of a relationship comes in: trust, communication, honesty. It's usually then the rose colored glasses fade and you see the person for who they really are and determine if they are for the long run.
