I ALWAYS pick the grass starter. Starting with Gold and my Chikorita (and years later in HeartGold) back then, then Treecko in Emerald (in OR last year aswell) and Bulbasaur in LeafGreen I was so hype for Diamond back then, I freaked out when I finally was able to have Turtwig. And I also loved Snivy in White and of course Chespin in X Can't wait for the Gen 7 one

I honestly have no idea who my starters for my initial playthroughs were prior to Gen 4 because it was so long ago. My starter in Diamond was Piplup. No idea what it was in Platinum. In Heartgold I think it was Totodile but I'm not sure. In White, it was Snivy. In White 2, Oshawott. In XY it was Fennekin. and in ORAS... it was either Mudkip or Treecko; I used one for OR and one for AS... well that was the plan anyway. Then I changed and used a Gen 1 team for AS.
