Everyone knew this. Artists complaining about streaming should be directing their complaints to the record labels instead of streaming sites

Everyone knows that the real issue are the record labels, but it's easier to point the finger at Spotify cause it's the new kid in school.

This is exactly what TIDAL people said, and that they would give it to the artists and everyone stood up with pitchforks and burned it to the ground

Yeah it's not Spotify or Vevo that are the problem. They'll get on board or already are with being fair in payment. It's the labels that chop up the money received and end up shelling out barely anything to their signed artists.

MJ's Estate executors better ensure they're getting their royalty shares as publishers of those streams too with dodgy label practices.

TIDAL failed because they tried to demonize Spotify when they aren't the problem. Plus it was ridiculously un-selfaware to have Madonna and Jay-z complain about not being paid enough

About artists, they were doing it for the artists, but whatever gaga fan you would twist a metal in knots just to make Madonna look bad
