Probably because a straight white female throwing around anti-gay slurs is extremely offensive?
Madonna was one of the first celebs to fully embrace gay people. The whole politically correct crap of not using the f word or the n word unless you're a minority did not apply back then. She ain't saying it in a hateful context like Azealia was, so what's the problem? And not Azealia trying to equate her silly stance to Madonna's stance. Azealia uses F in its original purpose and even goes as far as directly shaming man on men action. Madonna glorified gay sex!

Actually Madonna used the f word exactly like Azealia did. People just love to hate Azealia
Are you surprised? Madonna basically used the gays to gain sales and because she knew they'd be loyal. Her support for LGBT is just a thing she supported because it was trendy at that time (just like how she bandwagoned on music trends to stay relevant), it's fine though she became wiser with age and I'd hope she doesn't use such homophobic slurs anymore or I'd be disappointed.
I don't like Madonna's usage of the word as she isn't LGBT but it's not like it really changes the point she's saying.
It's childish and pathetic. It'd be like saying, "I kill n-words for not liking women." It's disgusting and makes no sense. Like, why are gays singled out and then slurred? All types of people can hate women what a stupid point to make
Azealia, much like some members in this thread, doesn't seem to have picked up Madonna's tone in that quote. She was being rather wry, as she's always been with the "gay icon/queen of pop" stuff. Not exactly suitable for defending oneself in this context.
