Also, if you read the article he is stepping down mostly because he does NOT want to pass a bill that will defund planned parenthood, which the base is pressuring him to do, so you shouldn't be so excited because if they pick an ultra conservative to take his place, planned parenthood will likely be no more.

LOL, i can't with these people who have no idea about what they are talking about making such blanket statements and trivializing the whole thing. just FYI he doesnt have to control his party, he is mediating between the two parties to come up with a solution that fits everyone's needs. the GOP is very deadset in their ways and doesn't want to budge, just as the democrats are doing the same. this isn't about his inability to CONTROL the gop, thats not his job, its about him not wanting to defund planned parenthood and deal with each side not giving in at all.

He has had probably more stressful of a job than Obama the past 4 years with how hardline the parties are becoming.

This is going to be a hot piping mess. The GOTP wants to shut down the government over fake doctered videos of plan parenthood which will cost us billions. John was never able to reign in the radicals of the Tea Party. I'm afraid that what comes after maybe worse. The Dems and Repubs are both pathetic and completely out of control.
