I'll never understand the money dynamic in that family. Candi can't possibly be withholding money to preach tough love values with a straight face, because she's not the one who made that fortune. She just married the man who did. I mean imagine if Oprah married some male model young enough to be her son, had kids with him, died, left mega millions to her widower and only left their kids peanuts. Then, when the kids got into money trouble, the father turns around and withholds cash because he wants them to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

I mean, it depends on what you mean by "showy and frivilous." By LA standards, she's middle class, if that. The "Real Housewives" lead more lavish lifestyles than Tori Spelling, and she's actually Hollywood royalty.
