ANYWAY, I do think he has a point. Taylor should remove her videos from YouTube. That way, if fans want to watch her videos, they have to pay for them. Art shouldn't be free, and a music video is art. Makes sense, yes?

Except for her singles, Taylor's music from 1989 is not on Youtube. And, you're right, there's other methods to listen to music illegally, but it's not like I shouldn't lock my door because, well, burglars always have a way to enter my house if they want. Don't know if you got me.

I think he's wrong. Music costs money to make and out of the pockets of the artists. He wouldn't suggest taking a pay cut from his salary anymore than he should expect others to. the truth is most people don't feel like sitting around and pirating music if the music is available at a cheap price and piracy becomes harder to do.

Well you can obviously find other methods to pirate music even if they are not on Spotify and Youtube but not being there does actually help people buy albums. Some people don't even bother researching and don't know much about the internet so if they can't easily find it there they are more likely going to buy the album.
