I don't know if y'all remember this but during summer 2014 there was strong rumours about Rih and Adele releasing in the fall, and already back then i was happy about the idea

Adele releasing something MEANS overall album sales boost
A lot of people that usually don't buy music or don't care are surely gonna check out the nearby store or iTunes for Adele (because IT'S Adele, the woman who shifted 30 million copies), and when they're there, they're not gonna buy just Adele but also grab some CD's nearby, and that CD might as well be Rih's.

I know for a fact that my mom who never buys CD's is gonna buy Adele's album.

Also Rih sold a handful of albums (mostly Loud and TTT) during the 21 era
So REALLY, Adele is anything but a threat, she's actually helping

I don't see why everyone is so bothered by Adele. Rih's been digging her own grave for a while now, and although it's not irreversible and a revival at some later point would likely have a positive impact, I'm not sure it's worth dragging the release out. The incompletion of the album should really be the only hold-up. If you think about it, their demographics are hardly the same. Obviously 25 is going to move more copies, and should they release around the same time, outpeak and -shine R8, but I don't see it hurting Rih's sales per se.

As i said a while back, i'm not saying she should be scared of Adele. She released near her before.
But it would've been nice to see Rih dominating the music scene without any competition.
Just her taking over being the only one in the spotlight.

Adele dropping her single just 2 weeks before the album like this is the ONLY thing I cared about this era when its about promo
