I attended one for the first time ever two days ago and it's so ****ing sad and it was from a long time friend that so i'm quite sad, they try to make it beautiful but it was so sad that i don't even know what to say u know?

Similar to me. Only been to two, last one was my Ma's and now I don't want to go to one again tbh. My bf's cousin just died and it'll be expected of me but... I don't wanna.
I don't think any non-troubled person can truly enjoy a funeral; you can appreciate the aspects of them but overall they totally suck and everyone is sad.
I don't like weddings. I get so awkward i mean i've been caught twice on video texting in a corner while the B&G were exchanging vows Plus i hate the actual networking that goes on during weddings. I just sit at my table and eat so no one talks to me
My extended family is huge every time i go to one i meet ppl i don't know. its not meant to be "disrespectful" but why not? The dead won't know what i'm doing & talking is a good distraction from sorrow. I guess i'm talking more abt a wake than a funeral. I do shut up & faze out during the cremation/burial.
