Her team probably thought touring arenas would be a better idea. MDNA was a very complex and large scale stage with a lot of detail to the production. Having to scale it for stadiums and then arenas must have been a nightmare for her team.
There's very good reasons why RHT shouldn't be out in stadiums and risking the elements. The RHT stage really should not be out in the rain (if you've been to the RHT, you know exactly why.. especially during Sex, Material Girl, Illuminati and others). Madonna will still be crossing the $200M mark regardless.
