That's unfortunate. Seasons 1 to 8 are some of the greatest television ever. Puts FG in the shade.

Homer's Enemy is a really memorable one for me. Poignant, darkly humorous, and actually pretty thought provoking.

I also love the Fat Disability episode.

Season 1 was actually not that great IMO. The Simpsons didn't start hitting its stride until later (I'd say that "Bart Gets an F" was the first truly great episode).

The Simpsons is probably my favourite show ever. The first like 16 seasons are great.
