Mariah Daily. com are reporting that Mariah's 2nd single, "I Want To Know What Love Is," a cover version will reportedly premiere at radio after Labor Day (Sept. 7).

I feel bad for her, because Obsessed is in that weird "not yet an all-out smash, but not flopping either" stage, so she's in an awkward position promotion-wise.

Obsessed is doing fine, it will probably go back to the top ten in a few weeks. It doesn't have to be a number one smash, just because it's a Mariah song.

Obsessed is smashin', the song is freakin' Top 10 on airplay and 14 on iTunes and climbing on sales on a weekly bases...It will go top 10 next week and I won't be surprise to find it on the Top 5 in the next few weeks.

So it's a climber and not a one week hitter...I prefer those kind of songs and not those who have huge first week sales and than dissappear.

After that lackluster E=Mc2 , I am looking forward for 'Memoirs..' I just hope it is not Charmbracelet II . Thats all.

I agree, it doesn't have to be, but the hype on "Memoirs..." is so unbelievably muted IMO, that because she does not have a Touch My Body plaguing radios everywhere, people don't care as much.

I don't care for Mariah. But I think the response to everything so far this era has been underwhelming.

Because it's true. Mariah is a highly established artist. All of her first singles should smash, just like Madonna's. "Obsessed" would be a hit for a new artist or a sophomore album, but for someone who has been in the industry for nearly 20 years and who has been making hits for 15 of those years, she should be doing better. Not to mention, she has 18 NUMBER ONES! A number one isn't even a big deal for her, so a top 15 is really disappointing. It'll probably go top ten though.

I'm expecting big things for "IWTKWLI."

Musically, in case you haven't noticed there are other markets beside USA.

But nobody really cares about the other ones....

Mariah has always focused more on the U.S anyways.

Obsessed didn't do that well because there wasn't any hype about it and...... it's not that good of a Mariah song. Memoirs will most likely debut #1 300k sold, I Want To Know What Love Is better be good enough to smash. I hope she doesn't **** up on this era by not releasing potential #1's.
