Great... But as you can see we have all textures of skin colors in Africa... From the whitests (berber origins) to the Darkest (Like the one you shared) and In many places they loved each other and married each other so we have a result of beautiful in every skin color
And we all sing Kumbaya all the way home as if you northerners don't separate yourself from Black Africans.
The reason most people think of only blacks when thinking of Africa (besides the fact that they are by far the majority of the population of the continent) is that when thinking of the populations, we think of ethnic-political regions, not continents.
East Asia, Southeast Asia (India and Pakistan), Europe (Eastern/Western), North America, Latin America & Caribbean, Middle East and Arab World, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
This is true, but Southeast Asia doesn't include India/Pakistan. That would be South Asia.
Many will assume black as in dark skin because that's what is shown in the media and that is what is seen by many people.
If you were to show a white skinned north African and a dark Sub-Sahran they won't put the two in the same continent of Africa.
Yeah it's a diverse continent though.
Do people from Africa who are black care if a person who is white but was born in African refers to themselves as African?
I would think so.
As I heard countless times they have a bit of an issue when black Americans call themselves African American. If black people can't call themselves that how can a white person?

But once they hear our traditional popular music they get hyped and starts to dance their traditional dances
