I think the game got pushed back because of the PS4 version. They said earlier this week that they are still making progress with it and that they will show it to the public soon, meaning that every footage from the game that we have seen so far is from the PS3 version. I think they are having problems porting the game to PS4 and that's why it got delayed.

I think the anime will be 90mins max, it's probably just a prologue or something like the first hours of the game animated. I won't watch it, though.

I hope it's like the Zestiria animation that premiered before the game, it was an introduction to the first characters and the story of the game

The game was in development for PS3 all this years, and they said that the porting to PS4 would happen after the majority of the game was done. The PS3 is still profitable in Japan, so I doubt they would cancel its version. Also, Persona 3 and 4 came out on PS2 when PS3 was already years in the market, so I don't consider it weird. And VITA simply can't handle P5.
