Regarding agnosticism being not a better position, it is actually the most rational position. It is the scientific position. Both POSITIVE forms of atheism and theism are absolutist in their vision but lacking the ability to prove their position, that's why they're both intellectual dead-ends. Agnostic theism and agnostic atheism, on the other hand, share the same ground of doubt and at the same time, are both admitting to the openness of the question about the existence of God.

I agree with all of this. I consider myself agnostic because you cannot prove "God" doesn't exist and you can't prove the "God" does. It's not that I don't know, it's just that I don't like leaving myself open to holes in my thinking. Agnostic fits better in my case.
Btw Hi fellow atheist/agnostics. Here's some backstory,
I was raised very religious (almost cult like). I took community college classes in high school and taking Philosophy in particular really opened my mind to giving up on religion. If you couldn't already tell, I have very negative thoughts and experiences with religion, and I don't like the concept of religion in general.
