Im a bit torn as she only sold 750k of the album which most of you would think is bad yet its the same as her last album roman reloaded so at least she didn't fall, but she didn't gain either. Her singles are half/half. Truffle butter/only/anaconda did good yet pills and potions, bed of lies and the night is still young underperformed, and trini dem girls i guess is too soon to tell. Shockinly it seems as the general public isn't embracing pop nick which has brought her the biggest hits (starships/superbass) but only supporting her urban stuff. How did you think the pink print era did?
It was a flop. Did it even reach 1,000,000 worldwide despite having a string of collaborations with big name artists, those super producers and all that promo supporting it?
I think it was an underperformance outside of the U.S. On the U.S. she had more hit singles (Anaconda, Only, Truffle Butter) compared to RR (Starships, PTA)
Considering it's 2015, it did decent for a rap album. Plus her single choices were kinda awful.
It being a 'rap' album isn't really much of an excuse. Not when the album contains a song written by Katy Perry AND has multiple features with huge names (Ariana Grande, Drake, Lil' Wayne, Chris Brown and Beyoncé), not to mention having 5 tracks with Dr. Luke as the main producer.
