Hell no. People will resort to making try-hard, attention seeking comments just for likes and it will turn into a competition. Besides, ATRL is a community, we don't need a like button. Just quote the post and say you agree or "this" or whatever. It's more personal that way and more active.
Yes, but maybe more of a thumbs up/thumbs down situation like Youtube. There are a lot of posts that I agree with but don't really have anything to add so it would be nice to let the person know in that way
The only reason I'd really be here for it is when it comes to posts that I don't or can't reply to but I want the user to know I'm acknowledging it. But I don't see the harm in implementing a like or reputation function just to try it out. Have a little fun once in awhile, I mean.
Yes. I'd much rather see a try hard post with 50 likes than a try hard post quoted 20 times with only a "" added. So many topics could have actual conversations rather than being ruined by an obsession over a post which, at most, was slightly amusing.
Well..like other users mentioned , the like system would be more of a mess it would be okay with dislike button as well
tho , I agree that a notification system should be added
No but I don't understand why there isn't a quote notification facility. Isn't that like the most basic thing a person would think of doing when making a forum?
