Demi was quite clear she does not hate men and that she believes in equality for the sexes and supports equal wages for men and women. None of these statements are in any way controversial. I don't think this was necessarily her misunderstanding feminism. I think what she was aiming for was stating she's not the type of feminist who supports females at the expense of men (as some self-proclaimed feminists do - but then they are NOT feminists in the true sense of the word).

I don't understand why people are so eager to attack her for this. She blatantly said she's here for equality - once that's her aim, I really don't see why she deserves the lashings.
