I wasn't really expecting any of the Loose singles to make it on the list except maybe "Say It Right". It was the #2 song of 2007 and was indeed different than anything else released at that time.

I was more expecting songs like "I'm Like A Bird" (which won a Grammy for best pop vocals) or "Try" to make the list, they are amazing and artistic songs with alot of meaning.

But whatever, this list ain't official.

Looking back at that top 500, I think they picked the wrong Arcade Fire song for the top ten. Either other song that made the top 500 would have been better, and where's "Wake Up"? I also still can't wrap my head around the fact that a song by Mike Jones is higher than "Lose Yourself", but I'll live.

This is still going to be one of the best lists done about the best songs of this decade, even when you discount the usual pretentiousness of Pitchfork. There are quite a few great songs that I knew most people would not know here (*cough*"Rebellion"*cough*"House of Jealous Lovers"*cough*), but there are also a LOT of songs here that were very popular and well-known, and I think that's my biggest complaint with the complainers here: the whole idea that almost every song is unknown or near-unknown, and, thus, that makes this list invalid. Just because YOU haven't heard the songs or don't want to expand your own musical horizons doesn't make the list invalid. All complaining about this list does is prove that you're not willing to accept that other people do have different taste than you do, and that is rather dense and immature. And oh yeah, "Hey Ya", "Crazy" and "99 Problems" sure are unknown songs. Give me a break.

Three songs out of 500. It's one thing to be close-minded (and quite a few ATRL members are about music), but when you argue that only those three songs "deserve" to be on this list, you're basically saying that you have no interest in trying out music that may be too big and complex for you to understand.

Then again, you're also the person who argued that Green Day were "nobodies", so why should I get my hopes up?
