Yeah probably. We don't know how much it would have affected the digital sales, but probably not as much as the streams would count for certifications.
But what certainly would have happened is the whole 1989 debuting on the Hot 100 in release week. For album tracks it's a lot easier to debut on the Hot 100 based on streams than based on sales.
I demand a duet with Ryan and Taylor at the Grammys, performing a medley of 1989 that segues into New Romantics, or a lead single of the rerelease. That would be so amazing
