When we talk about Monotypes it obviously means a team. Monotype as in One Common type. That person didn't specify Monotype "Pokemon" either. When people talk about Pokemon in Monotype it refers to a Monotype team. You don't need to say it. If you aren't aware of that you should educate yourself first since it's common sense to Pokemon players, as is Nuzlocke, etc.

No because he was talking about specific pokemon in that post, so why would you assume its about a team when he was giving specific examples. Lanturn is a dualtype pokemon. Vaporeon would be a monotype pokemon. Period

The rules of the Monotype Tier (which was what we were talking about) is that all of the Pokemon have to have one type in common. That means that a mono Water team can include Water/Electric, Water/Ground or Water/Fighting types as long as they're all Water.

If Monotype teams all had to have only one type with no secondary typing, then mono Flying teams would consist of Tornadus and nothing else.

And Flying wouldn't be the only type that gets left out. You know how many fully evolved single type Dragons there are?

Haxorus, Druddigon and Goodra. That's it.
