Bottom line is, as I think we've deviated from the original subject, the children of immigrants did not make a conscious decision to break the law and have been living in the country most of their life. To deny education to those who would like to have access to it would be detrimental. Deporting them would be costly and morally wrong because they are essentially American. Granting them the right to study and help them become legal so that they could eventually get a job would be way better for society.
