Hours later, he turned himself into police. Fitzpatrick was taken to a nearby hospital and died from his wounds.

FYI, his dad was convicted for killing the man, but I think "murder" is inaccurate. The man attacked him and was strangling him. It sounds more like self defense to me, but he was a black man in the US in the 70s so we all know how that goes.

I don't like making excuses for people, but all these things happening at a young age obviously affected him. He's an angry, deluded, violent, compulsive liar now. And misogynistic.
