Literally was the token black person in almost all of my classes in high school for a good 3 years. It used to get so awkward though in History whenever racism or slavery came up in discussion because everyone would turn around and look at me
My life basically consists of being the only minority.
My family moved to a city in the North of my country of origin when I was 3 so we weren't natives and had few connections to people. Later we moved back to our town of origin and it was awkward cause I hadn't lived there before. Then we moved to the US to an area where we were a very small minority. Now I'm studying abroad in France.
