Ariana embarks on media tour to address Donutgate, tease FOM
She was on Good Morning America this morning and she will be on Ryan Seacrest and Jimmy Fallon later today so y'all better watch. Queen. She also said that she will be announcing her new single this week
Quote:
Interviewer: We wanna start though with that video that made headlines earlier this summer. You were in a donut shop, you were in California, you said some hurtful things about people's weight. A lot of people watching felt offended by your words. What do you wanna say?
Ariana: First of all, I mean, my behavior was very offensive and I apologize. There's no excuse and there's nothing to justify it but, um, you know, I think that as human beings, we all say and do things we don't mean at all sometimes. We have to learn from it. I mean, that's part of our process. We have to learn from our mistakes, that's how we grow.
Interviewer: In fact, you put out a video apology where you said "I'm going to learn from my mistakes". As a young role model, so many young girls (and boys) look up to you and I'm sure you've learned, among other things, that words have weight. Tell me what you've changed, what you've learned from that experience.
Ariana: I think one of the biggest things I've learned from that experience is what it feels like to to disappoint so many people that love and believe in you and that's an excruciating feeling. You know, you have to remember that your words, your actions have ramifications. You have to really think about what you do or say. It's important. It's important to so many people. And yeah.
Interviewer: You have so many fans that love and adore and support you.
