We all know trends come and go, and they generally look dumb after a decade or so. Come the 90s, anything from the 80s was quite excessive and over the top. Come the 00s, anything from the 90s was "ugly" and "bland." Come the 10s, anything from the 00s is either cringeworthy or covered in unnecessary labels.
How do you think today's fashions will look in 2025? Looking around many of the trends are those of the late 80s/early 90s, with a lot of over-the-top prints, dyes, and colors. Combine that with the high waistlines and skinny fit (for jeans) with baggy tops, and I think we're setting ourselves up for some laughs in about 10 years.
I remember back in 05/06 when the low rise jeans were all people could find in stores that combined with the double popped collar polos and all the other tragic Abercrombie trends were just too much.
the fashion trends right now are rather simplistic and timeless. All the trends are quite minamalistic with mostly black and white as the colors so i don't think it will be nearly as negatively looked upon in the future as for example, the 2000's
