As has been said already - 9/11 isn't the time to post that, even if what he said was 100% true.

No matter what you post on social media, there will always be a backlash.

It is absolute NONSENSE to suggest that the victims of 9/11 or their families will be hurt by this. NONSENSE. And if they are offended, then that's their problem. Just because you're a victim of something doesn't mean that you can get away with whatever you want.

How does acknowledging these 1.5million innocent Iraqis affect the 9/11 victims in any way? It doesn't.

He didn't lie, but it was very insensitive and offensive - at least to the 9/11 families who hold no responsibility for the actions of the government. Why undermine any tragedy, let alone a tragedy on the scale of 9/11?

He deserved the backlash. Those who died in 9/11 were just as innocent as the Iraqis. Neither group should be downplayed or ignored.

3. 3000 American lives are not worth more than approx. 1.5 million Iraqi lives.

4. It doesn't matter whether 3000 American lives were lost or whether approx 1.5 million Iraqi lives were lost, the point is that human lives were lost and all are equally important and this is equally tragic and terrible.
