I've only been in love twice, and both situations were a bit different. The first time stemmed from what people usually go through in relationships: spending a lot of time, talking about any and everything, spending the night, going on dates, flirting, going through your ups and downs that make you appreciate them a lot more, being supportive and caring of one another, etc.
The second time just kind of happened. I was close friends with someone who had a great personality (and I was attracted to him), and happiness was pretty much always my default mood when it came to him. So, it was hard not to fall in love with him [I was with someone else at the time (who I wasn't 100% happy with), but I still chose to follow my heart].
