'It's not you it's me', says Lily Allen having a breakdown
It's not the first time she has worried fans with her emotional breakdown, but Lily Allen last night insisted her tears on stage were due to physical pain rather than the other kind.
The 24-year-old was performing in Helsinki, Finland when she started to cry - but was quick to tell the audience it was due to falling the night before and being on pain killers.
And in a case of life almost imitating art, Lily even seemed to quote the title of her latest album, It's Not Me It's You, in reassuring the crowd - albeit rearranging the pronouns.
'I feel a bit emotional tonight and if I cry it's not because of you but because of me,' she told the Finnish crowd.
Prior to the performance, she wrote on her Twitter page: 'Fell over badly last night and I've really f***** my back up. Just had an injection in my bum. How am I gonna get through tonight's gig?'
The Fear singer otherwise looked tanned and healthy when she wasn't dabbing her eyes with a towel.
Looking svelte in a black laced camisole and skinny jeans, Lily added some colour to her appearance with a blue on-trend sequinned cardigan.
For her hair and make-up she seemed to channel the glam rock era - blue, sparkly eye shadow painted on like a mask.
When it comes to tears, this isn't the first time her fans have seen the outspoken singer appear distraught.
Back in 2007, during the early days of her fame, Lily concerned fans when she posted a blog on her MySpace site complaining of feeling 'fat and ugly' whilst touring America.
She said she had been crying in her hotel room as a result of her weight and was considering gastric bypass surgery and laser liposuction.
Fortunately her tears last night were the ones easier to wipe away.
