Like, a lot of people genuinely like Fetty Wap and I don't get it, I thought he was a joke at first.... I was saying how vine has given us such trashy, stupid songs (it pains me to even call music like Whip/Nae Nae, Nasty Freestyle "songs") and so many people accused me of not liking hip/hop. I DO like hip/hop. I like GOOD hip/hop. Not that disgusting trash

In the pop world, there's a reason why Taylor Swift is so damn popular, she actually writes good music and has strong material and that's the reason why she's so overexposed/overplayed. There really is just nothing else in the pop stratosphere. And *cringe* at HAC radio.... songs like "Fight Song", "Heartbeat Song" and "Marvin Gaye"

And wtf at Justin Bieber getting a #1 with the most uninspired, boring comeback song ever.

Next, I don't get the hype for The Weeknd at all. His voice is nasal and grating and sounds like a second-rate Michael Jackson. His lyrics are disgusting and I can not believe that he has become as popular as he is... I listened to his entire album (barely) and was not impressed at all.

Finally, the most tragic thing is that there is such a lack of pop music, they're trying to turn Hailee Steinfeld into the next pop star...... I can't find one genuine live performance of her, all her acoustic stuff is a live vocal with a butt load of autotune over it... but regardless, wasn't she nominated for an Academy Award a few years back?? Wasn't this girl originally meant to be an actress? I guess when you're acting career flops (her character in Pitch Perfect made me CRINGE) and you still crave fame, all you have to do is become a Taylor Swift groupie and start singing (Selena, I'm looking at you too) Like, Hailee has the most generic basic white girl voice ever......

Wtf is the MUSIC industry becoming... it's just gimmick after gimmick accompanied by untalented pretty faces.... no wonder sales are dead, if music continues to be a mere afterthought, I actually think the music industry might die completely, it's just not worth buying.
