but what's "iconic" is relative, not objective. you can only see something if it's within your line of view. so it's not necessarily "invalidating" because it is a truth to people in this thread as you can see, but it's not to others.
it's kind of like how to a person that's colour blind, the sky is various shades of grey to them. but to a person who can see colours, it's blue. in this analogy you're the person that can see colours insisting that it's blue to a colour-blind person. on the flipside, you want him to acknowledge it's iconic when he has yet to see the impact throughout his experiences/life. this is just a simple matter of "agree to disagree" because everyone has different truths that aren't applicable in another person's life.
