Is Ariana proof you don't have to be likable to sell music?
There's been a lot of evidence to suggest that Ariana is a completely unlikable diva. Despite this she has managed to have a successful career so far, do you think she's 'proof' that you don't have to be likable to sell music nowadays?
What the hell? She is likable well atleast I think so. We all got bitchy moments and there's nothing wrong with that. But all around, she seems like a very fun and likable woman, so this "proof" is declined.
If anything, Justin Bieber is the definition of this.
He got his first #1 single with a lame, weak song that didn't really even deserve it. That saying, "No press is bad press" is so damn accurate
Pretty much. Even though Ariana serves sassy diva on the low, the GP likes her despite the scandals and her image is still pretty innocent for the most part.
No, because she really doesn't sell all that much music. Over half of ME's "sales" come from SEAs and TEAs. Her single's charting positions are highly dependent on streaming and radio. She's successful, but she doesn't sell
